TRAIN THE TRAINER COURSE

This course is for anyone wishing to become a SETA registered facilitator. There is a noticeable difference between
learning from a skilled facilitator versus learning from a traditional “trainer/presenter”.

Course Duration: 3 days 

Individuals have the opportunity to attend this course in a series of one-on-one sessions at dates and times suitable to the learner and facilitator.
Here are just some of the key tools we enable facilitators to master in our facilitator-training workshop:

  • Building rapport and establishing credibility Open communication and listening skills.
  • Mastering the use of questions for maximum participation, thinking, learning and discovery.
  • Using structures which orientate people so they know at all times where they are, where they are heading and where they have been.
  • Enhance your vocal ability Presenting seemingly dull information in an interesting and unforgettable way Building and maintaining participant self esteem.
  • Subtle signs to look for and how to respond to them when working with individuals and groups.
  • Dealing with disagreements, disruption, objections and demanding individuals.
  • Building a presentation Activities for maximum participation and learning.
  • Assistance with Portfolios of Evidence during class Registration of graduates with ETDP SETA.

ASSESSOR TRAINING

Individuals have the opportunity to attend this course in a series of one-on-one sessions at dates and times suitable to the learner and facilitator.

Course Duration: 3 days 

In this course you will learn the following:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of outcomes-based assessment Plan and prepare for assessment Prepare candidates for assessment Conduct assessment and document evidence Evaluate evidence and make assessment judgments.
  • Provide feedback to relevant parties. Review assessment Assistance with Portfolios of Evidence during class Registration of graduates with ETDP SETA.
  • The facilitator aims to assist 100% of delegates receive their qualification. Learners will be required to complete a Portfolio of Evidence to demonstrate competency as an assessor. Two actual Assessments will be performed in class for the Portfolio of Evidence (PoE).

MODERATOR TRAINING

This course is for anyone who is already a SETA registered Assessor, and now wishes to become a registered Moderator.

Course Duration: 3 days 

Individuals have the opportunity to attend this course in a series of one-on-one sessions at dates and times suitable to the learner and facilitator.

In this course you will learn the following:

  • Understanding how moderation works in an outcomes-based assessment system.
  • Planning and preparing documents and tools to help you moderate assessments.
  • Conducting the moderation of an assessment Advising and supporting assessors.
  • Recording and administrating moderations.
  • Reviewing moderation systems and processes.
  • Assistance with Portfolios of Evidence.
  • Registration of delegates with ETDP SETA.
  • The facilitator aims to help 100% of delegates receive their qualification.
  • Learners will be required to complete a Portfolio of Evidence to demonstrate competency as a Moderator. Two Moderations of actual Assessments will be performed in the classroom for the Portfolio of Evidence (PoE).
